Candice Yoo is an experienced performance specialist at Activcore in Atlanta, Georgia, located just 2 miles from Emory University. As a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), she focuses on muscle imbalances, posture, form, and stabilization while considering each individual’s anatomy as she develops a specialized workout tailored to the fitness goals of each client.

Candice was first introduced to Pilates in 2005. Her love and passion for Pilates deepened after she was in a car accident and her physical therapist primarily utilized Pilates principles to successfully rehabilitate her injuries. This experience gave her a greater appreciation for Pilates, and became her reason for training to become a Pilates instructor.

I have had Gyrotonic private lessons with Candice Yoo. She is incredibly skilled as a teacher and kind. I also was impressed by her sharp attention to detail, unwavering attention span (even in a 1hour 40 min session with no break), and her lovely, highly-instructive hands-on cues. What a delight for my body to feel and savor during the lesson and for days after each lesson. Also, the Activcore facility is beautifully designed for healing and unwinding the stresses of your body and your mind. I am extremely impressed by the caliber of the facility and staff.

I have always considered myself to be in pretty good shape and then I took one of Candice’s Pilates classes... I immediately started working dozens of new muscles that I had never even known about. I have always carried a lot of tension in my neck, I felt it finally loosen after the first half of the first class. In three weeks of classes not only have I more than tripled my plank time, my golf shots are now going 10 yards further! Candice knows how to push you but at the same time not be too demanding. She is willing to work with your abilities and knowledge in order to make sure that you are pushing yourself in the best and safest way possible in a comfortable environment.
