Gavin Ongsingco is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He works at Activcore in Denver, Colorado, located just a mile from the popular Cherry Creek Shopping District.

As a Crossfitter himself, Gavin has a special interest in treating strength and fitness athletes. He holds a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from California Lutheran University, as well as a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. He is also a graduate from Rancho Physical Therapy's Orthopaedic Residency Program.

Gavin goes beyond the symptoms and looks at the whole body to help you recover from pain and injury, and safely return to a fulfilling life of sport, activity and wellness. He is among less than 10% of all physical therapists to have earned the prestigious OCS designation as an orthopedic clinical specialist, making him exceptionally equipped to treat you from head to toe. Additionally, he is recognized nationally as a leading authority in the application of Redcord, a suspension exercise system designed to help you develop a smarter, balanced body through the power of neuromuscular activation.

Gavin believes in the potential of what the human body is capable of and how maximizing movement can make a profound impact on how we live our best life through meaningful activity. He also believes that every person's body is uniquely resilient and has the capability to achieve truly remarkable feats.

As an advanced credentialed healthcare practitioner, Gavin leads by example — living an active lifestyle and building resilience through strength training. He is passionate about maximizing the inner athlete in all of us through education and empowerment. The Activcore philosophy (of focusing on one person at a time) allows Gavin to provide an individualized approach where clients can truly understand their own condition and know what actions to take to achieve the ultimate goal of being active for life.

My Client Reviews

I highly recommend Activcore (and Gavin specifically) for any performance based PT needs. 4 weeks prior to a big race, I was having severe calf and hip issues. After 3 weekly sessions and a week of rest I was able to run a personal best marathon and qualify for the Boston Marathon. I know without Gavin's help that would not have been possible.

Highly recommend this clinic for PT, especially Gavin Ongsingco. It is obvious he is extremely knowledgeable, well trained, and dedicated to his work. When I started with Gavin I had only 2 months to improve before moving out of state for work. I progressed very quickly and many of my problems that had been overlooked for years or could not be identified by other physical therapists he was able to address. I have had many sports injuries throughout my life and have seen more than a dozen different PTs, he is definitely one of the best! I would definitely fly back to Denver to have him evaluate me if I needed it in the future, his skills are unmatched!

They are the most amazing caring group of people. Gavin O and Ed F have changed my life. Many years ago I had a horrible accident causing many serious injuries which I thought I would never be able to get back to my former self again. I started seeing Gavin for Dry Needling to help with pain and mobility issues. I was amazed how this seemingly small treatment would be the gateway to changing my entire life. My balance was trash, my strength was terrible and my life was in a slow decline. I was having a hard time doing my Job that I loved and even more than that I was afraid I would have to cut back or stop my much love mission work in Africa. Within a week or two I was in much less pain, and I was starting to move better. By week three I was doing things I had not done in years, and by week 6 my balance had made an unbelievable turn around. I was getting stronger and able to do things I didn't think possible. By Week 8 I started attending Core express classes with Ed, thrilled by the fact that I was being carefully guided in the exercises. I have tried so many things to build up my strength in the past even using personal trainers to help me. I ended out hurting myself and had to stop because my back couldn't take it. He gives positive feed back and encouragement each and every class. With Gavin still doing tweeks on my pain and other issues once a week I am a new and better person. Working with Activcore has changed my life and I feel like I am able to finally live the life I only dreamed about. From the bottom of my heart Thank you for Helping me achieve this.

Gavin at Activcore Physical Therapy Performance was able to give me exercises to correct my performance for lacrosse using their Redcord machine and I have had no issue playing lacrosse since. I am extremely happy with the survive they provided. I would strongly recommend Activcore to anyone or any athlete.
