My Reviews

I highly recommend Dr. Kelsy Rayl. She was recommended by my dentist who had other patients with similar jaw problems. I wasn’t sure why I should see a PT for my degenerating jaw joint. After speaking with Dr. Rayl, I decided to keep my appointment. It was the best decision I could have made. After three sessions my jaw pain was gone. I have a better understanding of why my jaw was off center. Dr. Rayl kept me informed during these treatments and provided at-home practice. She is knowledgeable and personable. Don’t hesitate to make your appointment.

Dr. Kelsy Rayl is an absolute miracle worker! I first worked with Kelsy several years ago when I had a bad concussion and could not open my jaw. She was able to immediately diagnose the issue and work with me so that I had no more pain and could go back to eating normally. When I had a shoulder issue this year I immediately came back to Kelsy. Not only is she a phenomenal diagnostician, she does a great job of explaining everything she’s doing and also explaining what the issues are. Finally, Kelsy is incredibly kind and caring. She is continually writing follow-up texts and checking in. I recommend her very, very highly.

I recently had jaw surgery but had yet to regain the ability to open my mouth all the way. The muscles are very tight and I cannot open my mouth wide enough to have some much needed dental work performed.

My surgeon referred me to Dr. Kelsy Rayl at Activcore Physical Therapy. I have been seeing Kelsy twice a week for 4 weeks and the results have been amazing. Kelsy is very well versed in the mechanics of the jaw and all of the muscle groups that affect jaw movement. I have regained enough jaw movement to return to a normal eating routine and am confident that my jaw range of motion will progress to a point where I can visit my dentist. Kelsy uses a number of techniques all of which are helping me get my normal jaw function back.

I would highly recommend Kelsy to anyone who needs to have physical therapy in the area of jaw disorders. I will continue with Kelsy until I regain the range of motion of my jaw. I am confident that Kelsy can bring me to that goal and would highly recommend her physical therapy services.

I have been seeing Dr Kelsy Rayl for physical therapy of my neck and jaw. I have had several surgeries on my jaw and the problems I have seem to be very intertwined and complicated. Really, the muscles above my shoulders are a messy situation. But, this didn’t even scare Kelsy away! She did a very thorough evaluation and seems to have a complete understanding of what problems I’m currently having, and the problems/treatments I’ve had in the past. She explained to me what she was noticing in my neck and how each one can cause symptoms and lead to other problems. She really gave me a better understanding of my symptoms. But even more importantly, she has been treating me for a few weeks now and I am feeling noticeably better. I’m not clenching my mouth all the time, I don’t wake up with a sore face, my headaches and neck pain are reducing. It feels like a miracle!
I have been to SO MANY physical therapists in my life. I will openly admit that I hate going to physical therapy. As a general rule, I’d rather just be in pain. I don’t want to do 700 tiny exercises 3-5 times a day. So, I wasn’t super stoked when my doctor suggested PT for my jaw. But it was either try this or have another surgery, so I acquiesced. I called several people and learned that jaw PT is quite specialized and some of the people that offer it book out several months for a new patient appointment. But when I found Kelsy at Activcore she had immediate availability!
For the first time ever, I am enjoying going to PT because Kelsy is so much fun to hang out with. We end up having a really good time during my sessions. And, I AM FEELING BETTER! I have hope that by the end of my sessions I’ll feel really good, and I think I can push surgery off for several more years.
She gives me exercises that I actually do. And she spends a lot of time helping me do them correctly. The Redcord system has been interesting, too. It was a really helpful tool to show me how I am using the wrong neck muscles for everyday life and is teaching me how to use the correct muscles.
This experience with PT has been very different from all others I have had. I would highly recommend Kelsy and Activcore!

I can’t recommend Dr. Kelsy Rayl enough! I had recurring pain in my shoulder for several years and Kelsy was able to fix it. She quickly came up with a plan combining both treatments and exercises to make sure it would not come back.

Loved working with Dr. Kelsy Rayl. She was so patient and kind in helping me recover from my back injury. She worked on me for several months and helped me go from shuffling with a walker to walking with a cane to nothing, so I was walking and moving like normal. She taught me better ways to move, lift things, and exercises to build my strength back. Kelsy is kind and thoughtful in her work and a pleasure to work with.

I came to Dr. Kelsy Rayl after having surgery for a femoral neck stress fracture. Kelsy is very personable and friendly. She is very knowledgeable about what she is doing and has really helped me progress after my surgery. I have gained back strength and flexibility that I had lost after surgery. I definitely would recommend her for your physical therapy needs. She's awesome:)

Dr. Kelsy Rayl and I have developed a strong trustful working relationship. She gives me her full attention, has great manual skills to alleviate areas of inflammation and pain and provides helpful exercises so I can be an active participant through at home rehabilitation.

Dr. Kelsy Rayl is an amazing provider. She is very knowledgeable of how different muscles and systems work together and sees the big picture of healing. I truly feel like a new person after working with her and I highly recommend her for anyone needing physical therapy.

As I'm aging, I find that I'm struggling with word recall, you know, not being able to think of the next word you want to say. I decided to ask Dr. Kelsy Rayl for help after the amazing help and improvement my husband had after a concussion. That had been our first introduction to vestibular therapy and helping the brain to rebuild neural pathways. She listened to my concerns and did not discount them, so I really appreciated being heard and understood. As a bonus, she also checked me out for inner ear and balance issues that can develop as we age. Then she started me on some exercises to help my mind work on tasks specifically designed to help sharpen my ability to recall words. I'm very excited to continue working with Dr. Rayl and would highly recommend her!

Dr. Kelsy Rayl has been my physical therapist for about half of 2021. I was referred to her after a different therapist could not get a handle on my low back/hip issue that was incredibly painful and even limited walking. Kelsy honed in on it correctly from the beginning and got me functionally back on my feet with compassion, diligence, humor and, above all, knowledge and skill. I cannot say enough good things about her! Now that Kelsy is in Castle Rock, I will drive from Denver if I need her skills again.

Dr. Kelsy Rayl is a fabulous physical therapist. She has great ideas, and she is creative in finding ways for a patient to do her exercises. She is positive, encouraging, upbeat, and always smiling. I highly recommend her!!!

Activcore PT worked great on the pain I was encountering with my shoulder blades. I have had previous PT sessions focusing on this injury, but the Redcord system utilized by Activcore has given me the best results and relief from pain by far. I will be going back again soon for a follow up and would recommend Activcore to anyone seeking professional and effective physical therapy. Thanks Dr. Kelsy Rayl !!!

I’d never had much in the way of back problems until about a year ago. Having just turned 60 at the time, I figured it was just age catching up with me. Mine was mostly lower back stuff - whose isn’t? Anyway, I finally decided to inquire whether there was anything that could be done and in furtherance of this decision I saw Dr. Kelsy Rayl at Activcore in Castle Rock, Colorado. When I first walked in to the treatment room I was puzzled by the ropes hanging from some contraption on the ceiling. I shortly learned that this was the “Redcord” system she uses. It basically takes weight off the major muscles by suspending the majority of one’s body weight, thus taking that weight out of play and isolating those minor muscles which, when they become inflamed and stop working, force the major muscles to take over the load. Hence the issues with my back. Anyway, with a good bit of manual manipulation, some dry needling (really not painful - mostly feels like a minor cramp in the targeted muscle), and the aforementioned Redcord work, I gained a significant amount of movement in my back and legs, and the pain level dropped significantly. The next morning it was easy to put my shoes on for the first time in a while. So, the long and short of it is that I’d highly recommend seeing Dr. Kelsy Rayl for what ails ya.

Definitely recommended. I slept wrong and had a super stiff neck. It was bad enough I would move my shoulders to look around. With one dry needling session and Redcord therapy, and a few days rest, I was back to baseline. The Redcord modality made me feel like little to nothing was happening, but it was amazing to feel small/deep neck muscles being activated/isolated. i.e. It doesn't take much to fix a big problem! Dr. Kelsy Rayl is the best.

Best physical therapy I have ever had! Dr. Kelsy Rayl really focused on my issues with new methods that really focused on my pain. Best thing is one patient at a time and in private. She works miracles as a migraine sufferer. Awesome!

I can't say enough good things about my experience. Kelsy is a true professional. Not only did she take the time to thoroughly explain my treatment, she also gave me stretches and continuing exercises I could do to assist with my recovery. She's knowledgeable and obviously cares about her patients. Highly recommend it.

I am so thankful for the vestibular help provided by Kelsy! She is extremely patient and is a great listener. I felt comfortable and educated as she assisted me in my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Kelsy Rayl.

After months of non-answers from neurologists, ENTs, general practitioners, etc. Kelsy was the first to provide me with some answers regarding my symptoms of dizziness, imbalance, vertigo, and nausea. Vertigo and nausea quickly resolved after just 2 sessions, and I've since made steady progress on other fronts. Treatment was/is well tailored, and she was extremely knowledgeable and adaptable as things progressed. Even a bout of tinnitus that cropped up during treatment was quickly resolved with some jaw exercises. I absolutely recommend her if you are struggling with any of these symptoms.

Kelsy helped me recover from my concussion and was very supportive and willing to answer any and all questions I had. Highly recommend checking her out for any physical therapy that you might need.

Kelsy is an amazing PT! She is a great listener and gears your therapy not only toward what you need to recover but also toward the activities to which you’d like to return. Everyone at the practice is so nice.

Kelsy has been my therapist & she has helped me recover from a hip injury. I really appreciate how she explained what was happening. The exercises she has given me helped me progress!  I highly recommend her!

I scheduled a consultation hoping they would be able to help me with my medical issues. The treatment that I needed was not something that they offered. They were very upfront about that, instead of leading me on or scheduling out services that would not help my situation. I mentioned that I was new to the area and Kelsy offered to help me find a center that might provide the services that I need. She called me the next day with the names of 2 offices that could help. I appreciate the awesome customer service.

I absolutely LOVE my P.T. Dr. Kelsy Rayl. She is incredible, knowledgeable and determined to help each body improve to optimal level. I was in a terrible car collision, and I received the cognitive and physical rehabilitation to restore my performance in a short span of time with their philosophies and methods. Thank you!

I was diagnosed with a Chiari Malformation a year ago and I suffered from severe headaches, dizzy spells, fatigue, and much more, for most of my life. I went through two rounds of therapy (with Kelsy) and I’ve been headache/dizzy spell free for five months and I have much more energy than ever before!
