Krystal Sterling is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) specializing in orthopedic conditions with an integrative sports medicine approach. She works at Activcore in Atlanta, Georgia, located just 2 miles from Emory University.

Krystal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Anderson University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of North Georgia. She has advanced post-graduate training in dry needling as a certified myofascial trigger point therapist and is a registered yoga teacher.


Krystal brings more than ten years’ experience in exercise and movement instruction. She grew up playing basketball and competing in track and field at the collegiate level in short- and long-distance hurdles, long jump and triple jump. After graduating, she channeled her love of movement and teaching into group fitness instruction, personal training and coaching. Although becoming a physical therapist was always her destination, she enjoyed sharing her energy with her group exercise classes and clients along the way. 


Krystal treats people of all ages and genders, with a special interest in yoga practitioners, athletes with sports related injuries and novice exercisers. Her background and education make her highly qualified to handle post-operative care, complex sports injuries and chronic pain. Her strengths include her adaptability to meet your needs, the execution of  a holistic approach to your recovery, and her years of experience teaching movements that can aid in gaining functional mobility, strength and neuromuscular activation. With her expertise and contagious enthusiasm, Krystal will match your energy and help you reach your goals.

My experience here is one that I will be forever grateful for. I worked with Krystal and she helped me greatly. I injured my shoulder about 9 years ago and after finally deciding to go to the doctor for it that sent me here. I was told that if physical therapy didn’t work I would have to have surgery. However, over the course of 16 weeks I was able to rebuild a majority of my shoulder and am no longer looking at having surgery. Everyone that works here is super friendly including the scheduling staff. They are all willing to help you with scheduling and any other questions you have. Although my time has ended there, they left me with more knowledge and exercises that will help me maintain and strengthen my muscles! -Allison H.
