Hi fam, I'm Dr. Sarah, and I get it. I am living my best life now, full of adventure, fun, and puppy snuggles… But I spent 30 years of my life stuck in Fight or Flight and burning myself out with caregiving, perfectionism, over-achieving, over-training, and chronic illness and trauma. I was constantly sick, exhausted, painful, isolated, and frustrated by the medical gaslighting and broken system.

That’s why I’m here - because you are NOT alone, you are NOT broken, you DO make sense, and you have more potential to thrive than you ever thought possible, even if you feel like you’ve tried everything.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Integrative Somatic Trauma & Pain Therapist, and Nervous System Reset Specialist, I see you as a whole, connected person - physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, financial, nutritional… The list could go on forever, right? All of those complex connections affect your overall wellbeing, healing, and performance. And at the root of all of those connections working in flow is your Nervous System. Many of my clients begin with my 3 Step Nervous System Stress Reset or even see me just for those 3 sessions before returning/going to ketamine therapy, EMDR, or any other healing/performance program that had reached a stuck point before.

So whether it’s stored trauma and stress, pain with sex, depression and anxiety, lingering or chronic pain or illness, concussion, hypermobility, pelvic floor dysfunction, high performance standards, or likely a unique combination - We will work together in a trauma-informed, body-affirming (HAES trained), and even fun (gasp!) space to get to the root of whatever is keeping you stuck, give you the support and innovative tools you need to release–reset–rewire, and get you to living your best life fast and forever. You can even snuggle Dogtor Juniper along the journey if you want!

I work with all ages from grade school up, all genders and orientations. I have special experience working with military, veterans, first responders, caregivers, Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome & Hypermobility, disordered eating and exercise, concussions, mystery and chronic pain/illness, PTSD/cPTSD, ADHD/Autism, and the queer community.

Fun Facts:

- My favorite self-development assessment says I’m an Empathic Idealist who interacts with the world in Gleeful Rebellion.

- I also run my nonprofit, The Healing Revolution which provides trauma-informed healing retreats, organizational/corporate solutions, professional training, and community resources focused on preventing and healing the mental and physical symptoms of Burnout, especially in firefighters and first responders, as well as teaching mindset and emotional regulation to kiddos.

- I love hiking or paddleboarding with the Dogtor, triathlons and obstacle course events, lake strolls while nerding out with a podcast, checking out unique local festivals and wellness events, and traveling - Costa Rica is next!

- BA in Exercise Science & Biomedical Psychology from St. Olaf College (Um Ya Ya!)

- DPT & Capstone in Integrative Treatment for PTSD & Concussion in Military from University of North Carolina Medical School - Chapel Hill
