Richa Ranade is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) delivering care in pelvic health, general orthopedics, and sports injury rehabilitation. She works at Activcore in Princeton, New Jersey, located just 2 miles from Princeton University.

‍

‍Richa holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University. She has completed advanced post-graduate training in pelvic health via the Herman and Wallace Rehabilitation Institute. Her knowledge of the musculoskeletal system is further deepened by her extensive dance training, spanning from her formative years through graduate school.

‍

As a provider that values a holistic view of the body, Richa views the pelvic floor as the center of the body, performing a number of integral health functions and acting as an anchoring point for many large muscles and fascial connections. Richa considers assessing and addressing this area as a key to successfully treating musculoskeletal dysfunction and promoting long-lasting progress. Her treatment style integrates manual lymphatic drainage and dry needling to harness the body’s healing potential and drive tissue changes to better support rehabilitation work done on the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

‍

Richa’s goal for all of her clients is to help them get stronger and move smarter. She is passionate about the importance of strength training to maintain function and independence across a person’s lifespan. She has extensive experience working with athletes of all kinds (ranging from high school, college, and professional athletes to weekend warriors), with a strong background in working with dancers and gymnasts.

‍

Her interest in physical therapy began while volunteering at a clinic that provided hippotherapy, a type of physical therapy delivered while patients ride horses. There she observed how the activation and coordination of the core and pelvic floor muscles could be used as a form of treatment to improve mobility and quality of life. As a classically trained dancer, she immediately felt drawn to working in a field that focused on body movement as a means to improve participation in an individual’s day-to-day life.

‍

In her free time, Richa enjoys weight lifting, yoga, reading, learning new languages, and traveling.

Dr. Richa Ranade is an excellent physical therapist who is very intelligent and very personable . I went to her with shoulder, neck and upper back issues. She was very attentive to my needs as she performed therapy on me […] and  she diligently gave me handouts of exercises I need to perform at home. I have recommended Dr. Ranade to many of my fellow pickleball players and to other friends, and I will  continue to do so.

It is a rare find these days to find someone with an excellent work ethic, that also has compassion, care, respect and extreme knowledge of their profession. But those are just a few of the attributes that Richa has. I have never had a P.T. that takes the time to truly get to know you, your condition, your lifestyle, etc. the way she does. She will create an individualized program for you and add in or take out exercises as you go along to fit your progress. Richa has also taken the time to understand my anxiety and to help to make sure I am comfortable throughout my sessions. I have recommended her to so many people and will continue to do so because she is that good. I am so grateful for everything she has done for me and how much better she has made me feel. I am a retired nurse and I respect and appreciate the care that Richa gives to each client everyday.

I don’t usually write reviews but I believe that when you experience something great it should be shared. For years I ignored my neck and back pain until I couldn’t take it anymore […] It’s very rare that you meet a medical professional that is not only super competent at their job but also extremely passionate. Richa made it her personal mission to alleviate my pain. She’s amazing and I truly enjoyed every session! Thank you, Richa for making it easier to pick my kids up again!

Her knowledge and expertise are not only impressive but important in the care received. I have been struggling with back pain on and off for years and have sought various treatments to try and find relief. Working with Dr. Richa is the first time that I feel like there's been a focus on not just treating the symptoms but getting to the root of the issue. Dr. Richa has taken special care to get to know me, my lifestyle and what's important regarding my physical activities. She's taken the time to explain her approach so that I understand why treatment is structured the way that it is and what she's hoping to address. Her plan of care is personalized and she seems to genuinely want to make sure I get better. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for physical therapy.

Dr. Richa Ranade is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. I began PT just 5 days after rotator cuff repair surgery and Dr R had a personalized treatment plan ready to go.
