Nadia Ruffing is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who specializes in pelvic health, women's health, sports rehab and fitness. She works at Activcore in Princeton, New Jersey, located just 2 miles from Princeton University. She also works at Activcore in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

Nadia received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Widener University. She also holds a bachelors degree from Temple University in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis on Sports Nutrition.

Nadia enjoys helping people be physically active. While going to school, she worked as a Certified Personal Trainer and eventually obtained certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor and Parkinson Wellness Recovery Coach. She also assisted in developing and coaching a Fit and Rock Steady Boxing program for the Parkinson's community to better serve them.

Growing up, Nadia wanted to become a physician and specifically an OB-GYN. She started her adult schooling with this goal in mind. However, after developing some medical issues at a young age, she took action by learning as much as she could about how to heal her body through a healthy lifestyle. She lost over 60 pounds and eliminated her discomfort. This life-changing experience inspired her to help other people take charge of their own health. So she became a fitness instructor and began working with people of all ages to help them become the strongest and healthiest versions of themselves.

Along her journey, Nadia knew there had to be a way to combine her passion for both fitness and pelvic health. She also grew more intrigued by working with specific client populations including weightlifters, powerlifters, and pregnant and postpartum moms (attempting to return to fitness).

Nadia believes people of all ages, genders, and life situations deserve to feel their best in their body. She approaches each person with a “meet you where you are” mindset. She believes that holistic care doesn't have to be a taboo form of treatment, and that everyone can benefit from learning how their body moves and heals.

Joining Activcore was a natural fit for Nadia. The inspiring culture, professional team, and healing environment bring out the very best in her as both a physical therapist and fitness trainer.

Nadia lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her husband, two German shepherd dogs, and a formerly stray cow kitty they saved from the neighborhood. She enjoys reading fantasy novels, writing in her spare time, powerlifting, and baking gluten free goodies!

My Reviews

I've been seeing Dr. Nadia Ruffing at Activcore for pelvic floor issues following childbirth, and she has been amazing! Just above and beyond in every way: exceptionally kind, empathetic, perceptive, thorough, generous, detail-oriented and knowledgeable. She's been persistent in making sure she completely understands my particular issues and body mechanics, and has given me a highly personalized treatment plan. I feel she's really listening to me in session, which is worth a lot, and she explains complex issues clearly! Pelvic floor issues feel especially personal to me, but I completely trust her. Nadia is better than any PT I've ever had!
