Kelly Jones is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) specializing in orthopedic conditions with a special interest in soccer. She works at Activcore in Atlanta, Georgia, located just 2 miles from Emory University. She also works at Activcore in Johns Creek, GA located inside the Medical Fitness and Wellness Group.

Kelly received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 2018 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University’s School of Medicine in 2021. While at Emory, she was also trained in Advanced Extremities, Nutrition in Physical Therapy, and Dry Needling Levels 1 and 2. 

Kelly grew up in Roswell, Georgia playing competitive soccer from a young age. She had many injuries throughout her career, and after tearing her ACL, she participated in eight months of physical therapy. It is during her recovery that Kelly decided that physical therapy was the career for her. She fell in love with the impact the mind-body relationship has on a person’s quality of life and decided to pursue a career to help others heal from injury.

Kelly’s treatment method includes a combination of manual therapy, cupping, dry needling, soft tissue mobilization, Redcord suspension exercise, GYROTONIC® and strength training in order for her patients to gain optimal mobilization and function through a more holistic approach that is tailored to each patient. Kelly especially enjoys working with active, athletic populations. 

Kelly chooses to work at Activcore because she believes each patient deserves one-on-one holistic treatment that is uniquely tailored to the patient’s needs. When not at Activcore, Kelly enjoys spending time on the Beltline, playing recreational soccer, being on the lake, and spending time with friends and family.

Words cannot express my gratitude, shock and amazement.... Blake Dalton, Dr. Kelly Jones and Activcore truly changed my life in 3 months! I didn’t know anything about Redcord therapy or Activcore. I literally stumbled into a neighborly conversation on the street with Blake. A year post spinal cord injury, I'd been learning how to walk again first with a rolling walker then progressing to forearm crutches. I had inpatient rehab, outpatient PT and massage. All significantly helping my function and pain. But my recovery had plateaued. I still had significant functional limitations and pain in my back and legs. I was intrigued by their focus on the neuromuscular system... and how fascinating (and frustrating at times) when I would work so hard on making one small movement but nothing happened! The progress and improvement in the first few weeks were truly life-changing!! Three months later I am no longer using any assistive devices. I am even walking on uneven ground! I took a 3-mile walk on Christmas! The sensation in my legs and back has changed considerably and continues to do so. Whereas I had constant pain and stiffness, certain muscles are now tight and stiff to tell me they’re being worked as they come back online. Thank you Blake and Kelly!!!!
